In October, Microsoft made a number of announcements and took the wraps off of a number of key products that they will be releasing over the next couple of years. These included:
- Longhorn — The next version of Microsoft Windows
- Yukon — The next version of Microsoft SQL Server
- Whidbey — The next version of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
Additionally, they show-cased a number of technologies that are a part of these larger products. This includes Avalon, Aero, WinFS, ASP.NET 2.0, the .NET Framework 2.0, C# 2.0, a re-written Managed C++, and much more.
