P2V Assistant


The P2V Assistant takes a snapshot of an existing physical system and transforms it into a VMware virtual machine, eliminating the need to reinstall and reconfigure complex application environments. The P2V Assistant is used primarily to speed up the server consolidation process, especially when migrating legacy systems onto newer hardware, as well as for debugging of production systems and cost-effective disaster recovery.

Apache HTTP Server 1.3.28

The Apache Software Foundation and The Apache Server Project

This version of Apache is principally a bug and security fix release. A partial summary of the bug fixes is given at the end of this document. A full listing of changes can be found in the CHANGES file. Of particular note is that 1.3.28 addresses and fixes 3 potential security issues:

  • CAN-2003-0460 (cve.mitre.org): Fix the rotatelogs support program on Win32 and OS/2 to ignore special control characters received over the pipe. Previously such characters could cause it to quit logging and exit.
  • VU#379828 : The server could crash when going into an infinite loop due to too many subsequent internal redirects and nested subrequests.
  • Eliminated leaks of several file descriptors to child processes, such as CGI scripts.

    lcdplugin 0.6.3 alpha

    This Winamp plugin displays status information on various LCD/VFD modules. A menu provides access to playlists, song titles, albums, artists, disk browsing and much more. Several input methods allow to control the menu and Winamp itself. 0.6.3a is a new alpha release and includes many bug fixes and two new major features: Custom character map for each LCD and dynamic menus.     Privoxy default.action 1.7

    Privoxy is a web proxy with advanced filtering capabilities for protecting privacy, filtering web page content, managing cookies, controlling access, and removing ads, banners, pop-ups and other obnoxious junk. It is based on the Internet Junkbuster.


    MinGW - Minimalist GNU for Windows: import libraries and header files for use with GCC to build native Windows applications; now with added extentions to the MSVC runtime to support C99 functionality.

    Free Pascal Compiler 1.0.10

    Version 1.0.10 of FPC has been released and uploaded to SourceForge. This will be the last 1.0.x version; we will now concentrate on the 1.1 branch, which will end in 1.2 or 2.0. The Free Pascal Compiler is a 32-bit Pascal Compiler for AmigaOS, DOS, Linux, *BSD, OS/2 and Win32; semantically compatible with Borland Pascal 7 with additional features such as operator overloading. The compiler itself is written in Pascal.

    giFT 0.11.1

    This release features OpenFT and Gnutella plugins as part of the standard distribution distribution. Be sure to read the QUICKSTART file available in the tarball for information on how to begin using giFT.

    Tkfp Windows 14

    Tk_familypractice is a clinical Medical Records system, written mostly in Tcl/Tk. Some C, C++, PYTHON, PERL. For Family Physicians, Pediatricians, Internists or Primary Care. Used in a 4 doctor group for 5 years. Network enabled. Tk GUI and web browser based interfaces. HCFA1500 claim form. Another new Windows version. Using the file notebook_start2.tcl, you can run all the windows now inside a tabbed notebook. The look and feel is now exactly the same as the Linux version.


    PMD is a Java source code analyzer. It finds unused variables, empty catch blocks, unnecessary object creation, and so forth. This release supports PMD 1.1.

    QmailAdmin 1.0.25

    QmailAdmin is a web interface for managing email addresses in virtual domains created by Vpopmail. This release includes more cleanup as we get closer to a stable release. Functional changes: works with non-idx version of ezmlm again, updated Japanese translation.

    wlandscape 1.0 build 0461

    wlandscape 1.0 build 0461 is out with quite a few important bugs fixed and a lot of improvements added. Build 0461 introduces many new features. We have added the support of MapBlast again and integrated an offline browsing tool. From the developers point of view it is believed to be fairly stable. Wlandscape is a tool for collecting and visualizing access point data of public wireless networks in order to share it with anyone. The collected data is shown in really good maps and of course all for free. Wlandscape is free because it is released under the GNU General Public License.

    phpWebSite 0.9.3

    Developed by the Web Technology Group at Appalachian State University, phpWebSite provides a complete web site content management system. All client output is XHTML 1.0 and meets the W3C's Web Accessibility Initiative requirements. phpWebSite version 0.9.3 addresses stability problems from 0.9.2. There have also been many updates to resolve usability issues. Included with this release is a docbook user manual for end-users and a skeleton module for developers.

    phpMyAdmin 2.5.2 released

    The phpMyAdmin development team welcomes you to update to the latest version. We think that all issues of the June security alert have been addressed (see FAQ 8.1). phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the http://www. Currently it can create and drop databases, create/drop/alter tables, delete/edit/add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields.

    With this week's 8.1 release of the WebLogic Platform, BEA delivers a unified platform to seamlessly converge the processes of building and integrating enterprise applications . enabling companies to realize faster time-to-value on their mission-critical business integration projects.

    XML RenderKit for JavaServer. Faces


    The XML RenderKit for JavaServer Faces brings Model 2X to JSF and allows developers to style JSF components using XML transformation languages such as XSLT. It can be installed with the JavaServer Faces Reference Implementation Early Access 4. The source code is available under a triple free software license: MPL 1.1, GPL 2.0 and LGPL 2.1. It comes with examples running on most Servlet containers, including Tomcat and WebLogic.


    Multimodal Toolkit for WebSphere Studio


    The first developer environment based on the XHTML+Voice (X+V) specification, the Multimodal Toolkit for WebSphere Studio is designed for creating multimodal user interfaces. It also allows developers to rapidly convert voice only and Web only applications into multimodal applications. The X+V specification comprises XHTML and VoiceXML, the most commonly used languages for Web and speech development, and was jointly submitted to the W3C by IBM, Motorola and Opera.

    The RoboDemo FLA Module automatically launches Macromedia Flash MX from RoboDemo, making it simple for users to export their RoboDemo project into Macromedia Flash. RoboDemo frames are converted into movie clips and inserted into the Macromedia Flash MX timeline. Objects on a RoboDemo frame automatically become individually labeled layers.
