Samsung Launches Creative Square Mobile Development Incubator

The smartphone maker will invest up to $85,000 in mobile startups.

Samsung has launched a new incubation program for mobile development startups. Called Creative Square, the program will offer up to 100 billion won ($85,000) to selected partner firms. Startups that become part of the program can also use Samsung's R&D facilities in Seoul. In addition, the company is also building a campus for startups in the city of Daegu.

Mobile development firms interested in participating in the program can apply between June 27 and July 31. Samsung says it is looking for partners with innovative ideas for mobile.
