Oracle, Red Hat and IBM, All in the Same Boat with Java EE 7

Java EE 6 has quietly been moving toward implementation within IBM and Oracle while Red Hat lays out a plan for the future of Java EE 7.

Java EE 6 may have brought modularity changes with REST support but Java EE 7 repaired many of the historic problems with the platform. Now Red Hat is proposing new ideas for the future of the platform involving forming expert committees around the future plans in order to formalize the new specifications for the future of the platform with the main goals being ease of deployment, support for HTML5, support for cloud systems and cleaning house of all the unused portions of the current framework.
