by Keith Vance

The OpenVizsla project has raised nearly $40,000 to build an open source USB sniffer.

A new open source project called OpenVizsla is currently accepting funding via Kickstarter.

"OpenVizsla is an open source high-speed USB sniffer that will help decode, debug and hack proprietary USB hardware devices," the group's Web site says.

The project has raised nearly $40,000 or 225 percent of their stated goal.
