LibreOffice 3.3 Release Candidate 2 Is Available Now

The Document Foundation folks are making progress towards their first stable release of LibreOffice. The second release candidate is available now, and the productivity suite has its own website too.

The Document Foundation is plugging along toward the first stable release of their OpenOffice fork, the LibreOffice open source productivity suite.

The second LibreOffice release candidate is now available for download. It includes a much smaller Windows installer, as well as "lots of improvements and bugfixes," the announcement said.

LibreOffice is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. You can download it here. You can learn more about known issues here. Also, as of Dec. 24, 2010, LibreOffice now has its own Web site too - LibreOffice.org.
