Microsoft has announced that it is now accepting developer pre-orders for the next-generation of Kinect for Windows. Developers who order the $199 device now will receive it in July, when the company plans to release a beta version of the Kinect for Windows SDK 2.0. The device and the SDK are scheduled for general availability several months later.
Kinect for Windows allows users to control their PCs using gestures. The device is also sold with Xbox One gaming systems.
