With an average global increase of about 7% last year, the use of Java development has once again begun to increase at a steady rate across the globe. The increase in North American was about 7.6%. The increase in usage is related directly to the market increase of smartphone usage; Java remains the most popular programming language for that particular platform. All signs indicate that smartphone usage will continue to increase for some time.
