iOS TestFlight Goes Live

by Developer.com Staff

The service makes it easier for mobile development firms to beta test iPhone and iPad apps.

Apple's TestFlight beta testing service is now available to all iOS developers. Acquired by Apple during the last year, TestFlight allows mobile development firms to invite up to 1,000 people to test apps before they are released through the App Store. The invitations are distributed through iTunes Connect.

TestFlight is quite a bit easier to use than iOS's previous beta testing procedures, but apps must pass a Beta App Review before they can be offered through the service. Developers can test up to ten apps at once.
