Microsoft's BUILD conference isn't the only developer event going on this week -- Intel is holding its Intel Developer Forum at the same time. At the Tuesday keynote, Intel CEO Paul Otellini took the opportunity to chart the course of the company's future mobile plans.
First, Intel has a new partnership with Google that will put Android on smartphones based on Intel's Atom chips. Next, Otellini reiterated that ultrabooks -- very thin and light laptops with long battery life and instant-on capabilities -- will be an important part of the company's strategy. He also plugged the upcoming "Haswell" processors and showed off a solar-powered chip.
