Google Offers Ice Cream Sandwich Guidance

by Cynthia Harvey

Developers can start getting ready for the next version of Android.

The next version of Google's Android mobile operating system, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich, is due for release in October or November. Google has not released an SDK yet, but it has recently published some technical guidance.

It appears as though apps written for the Honeycomb version of Android won't need a lot of adaptation, but developers will have to wait for the SDK to know for sure.
