The program provides tools for using the GitHub API.

Code repository and sharing site GitHub has launched a new developer program that is open to anyone with a paid GitHub account who is working on services or applications that integrate with the site. Those who sign up for the program will receive access to a number of tools for working with the GitHub API, as well as early notification of and access to changes in the API. In addition, they can request a development license for GitHub enterprise.

The organization is also launching a new micro-site called GitHub Integrations. It will feature applications and services that integrate with GitHub, including those created by people who are members of the GitHub Developer Program. According to GitHub, there are thousands of such offerings available already.
