Farmville Creators Launch Toro App Marketing Tool

The tool helps mobile development firms acquire users through Facebook.

Amitt Mahajan and Joel Poloney, both part of the team that created Farmville, have created a new app marketing tool called Toro that might help other developers duplicated Farmville's success. The tool aims to simplify the process of launching and optimizing a Facebook app install campaign.

According to the duo, Toro can test "hundreds of variants" of a campaign, determine which are working best and automatically adjust the budget for maximum effectiveness. As a result, developers should only have to check their campaigns "every couple of days."
