Developers with Facebook apps can breathe a little easier. Facebook says it has found no evidence that its privacy breach has affected third-party apps that use the Facebook platform. Last week, the company admitted that a bug allowed cybercriminals to steal login credentials for 50 million accounts and to access credentials for another 40 million. It had also alerted third-party app developers about a potential breach, but now the social network is walking back that warning.
"We have now analyzed our logs for all third-party apps installed or logged in during the attack we discovered last week," blogged Facebook's Guy Rosen. "That investigation has so far found no evidence that the attackers accessed any apps using Facebook Login."
