DWNLD Converts Web Apps to Mobile Apps

by Developer.com Staff

A startup aims to make it easier for content publishers to create apps.

A start-up called DWNLD (pronounced "Download") is launching a service of the same name that will convert websites and web apps into mobile apps. The company says its mobile development service will provide higher quality apps than similar tools and services. Alexandra Keating, chief executive and co-founder of DWNLD adds, "We couldn’t just automatically generate for you a social networking app, but for anyone whose primary purpose is publishing content, we are their solution."

DWNLD costs $15 per month. For now, it creates iOS apps only, but Android support is planned.
