Developers Can Now Charge $400 for Android Apps

by Developer.com Staff

The change could be good for mobile development firms with enterprise-focused apps.

Google has quietly increased the maximum price developers can charge for apps on Google Play. Mobile development firms can charge up to $400 (or £300 or €350) for their Android apps, up from $200 (and £150 and €199).

Apple allows developers to charge up to $999.99, but very, very few developers charge nearly that much for their apps. However, observers note that some businesses are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for apps specific to their industry.
