Bo Zhang is accused of illegally copying software to an external hard drive.

Federal prosecutors have brought charges against Bo Zhang, a contract programmer accused of stealing code for a $9.5 million program from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. By his own admission, Zhang copied code he was working on to an external drive and took it home "for private use and in order to ensure that it was available to him in the event that he lost his job."

Authorities discovered the breach when one of Zhang's colleagues reported that Zhang had lost the drive containing the code.
