Canabalt Game for iOS Goes Open Source

by Keith Vance

The game Canabalt took onlyabout two weeks to build, and it has been downloaded more than 225,000 times from the App Store. And now, it's open source.

The developers at Semi Secret Software have released the source code, music and graphics to their Canabalt game for iOS.

"For what it's worth, Canabalt was created in Flash, start-to-finish in 5 days," IntoMobile editor James Falconer said. "From there, the app was ported to iOS in 10 days ... paving the way for more than 225,000 copies to sell via the App Store."

You can download the Canabalt source code here. The Semi Secret blog is here.
