CA Technologies Buys DevSecOps Firm SourceClear

by Developer.com Staff

SourceClear's technology helps enterprise application development teams find vulnerabilities in open source code that they are using.

CA Technologies has acquired SourceClear, a DevSecOps tool vendor that specializes in software composition analysis. CA plans to integrate SourceClear's technology with its Veracode cloud development and application security testing tools.

“With the acquisition of SourceClear, we’re taking a great step forward in bringing that same combination of security, productivity and efficiency to the way developers use and test open source libraries, so that our customers can use open source libraries to accelerate software development without adding unmanaged risk,” blogged Sam King, general manager of CA Veracode.
