The Tenth Annual Debian Developer Conference Is This Week

The Debian Conference is being held for the first time in the United States. This is the tenth annual DebConf.

At New York City's Columbia University, the Debian Conference got underway yesterday.

"This year's conference is the first DebConf to be held in the United States in the 11-year history of the event," the press release said. "This year, more than 300 developers from all over the world, including Brazil, Argentina, Bosnia, Mexico, Canada, Western Europe, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Venezuela, and Latvia, will participate."

The conference will wrap up on August 7.
