Google's Buzz firehose API means developers have access to all of the public messages.

Google has opened up several APIs for its Buzz social networking service this week. Now available is the Buzz firehose API so developers can ingest all of the public Buzz messages.

Ars Technica's Ryan Paul said that firehose is powered by PubSubHubBub and that it will "open the door for building sophisticated Buzz analytics and data mining tools."

To show how it works, Google built a sample application called Buzz Mood. The sample software source code is available here.
