CA Releases Security Tools for Web Applications and Services

Security software manufacturer CA responding to growing open source middleware adoption by announcing security software support for JBoss Enterprise Middleware.

Responding to the growth in open source middleware enterprise application deployment, CA announced today that its SiteMinder and SOA Security Manager software now supports JBoss Enterprise Middleware.

"Open source middleware adoption is growing and more organizations are deploying their mission-critical applications on JBoss Enterprise Middleware," Red Hat Senior Director of Product Management Stephen Hess said. "The need for enterprise-class security for Web applications and Web services grows in parallel with the rise in deployments, which is why we are pleased that CA is extending its security platforms for Web access management through CA SiteMinder and CA SOA Security Manager."

According to the CA press statement, global open source software revenues are expected to reach $8.1 billion by 2013.

"CA recognizes the demand for advanced Web security on open source infrastructures," CA Senior Director of Security and Compliance Jeff Broberg said.
