AppMobi Releases Open Source Mobile JQuery Framework

by Developer.com Staff

Unlike its competitors, jQ.Mobi is HTML5-ready.

AppMobi has announced a new, open source mobile JQuery framework that it calls jQ.Mobi. While plenty of other frameworks, like Sencha Touch, JQuery Mobile and JQTouch, bring JavaScript to mobile development, the company says this is the first such framework based on HTML5. "With jQ.Mobi we've given the mobile development world an HTML5-ready jQuery," said appMobi CTO Sam Abadir. The company also said that jQ.Mobi is faster and offers a better interface and programming functions than its competitors.

The new tool is currently in beta, but a production release should become ready within a few months.
