Citing unnamed sources, Bloomberg is reporting that Apple has given a few mobile development firms access to a super-secret lab where they can work with the forthcoming Apple Watch. According to the report, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, Facebook Inc., United Continental Holdings Inc. and some other organizations have been given access to the forthcoming smartwatch in order to finetune their apps. They aren't allowed to bring in any outside materials, and Apple is blocking all Internet access in the lab.
Apple plans to release more information about the Apple Watch March 9. Some analysts estimate that the company could sell as many as 30 million smartwatches during the first year after release.
