Adding a Related Document to a project This tip explains how to add a 'Related Document' to the project section in the VB IDE.

A question I am quite frequently asked is how we add the readme.txt file as a related document in the demos on the site. Well, here's how...

  1. Right-click on the project area in the VB IDE. This is the place where all your forms, modules, classes, etc. are listed. Select 'Add > Add file...' from the popup menu.
  2. In the dialog box that appears, select the file that you want to add, and also check the 'Add As Related Document' check box. Click open . . . and there it is!
