The Canadian company will no longer make phones.

BlackBerry has announced that it will stop manufacturing smartphones. "The company plans to end all internal hardware development and will outsource that function to partners," said CEO John Chen.

Once dominant in the mobile industry, the company has struggled to compete with iPhones and Android devices in recent years. In the future, the company plans to focus on its software development business.
