Time spent with games remains about the same.

According to a new report from Flurry, mobile gaming sessions have fallen 10 percent year-over-year. The decline was even more pronounced in categories like role-playing (down 29 percent), casual (down 23 percent) and music games (down 22 percent). On the other hand, sessions for board and strategy games actually climbed 29 percent, while racing games were up 26 percent.

Still, it's not all bad news for the mobile development industry. The total time spent in games actually increased 1 percent. The average U.S. mobile user now spends 33 minutes a day playing mobile games. Even more importantly, revenue has increased 53 percent year over year.
