The open source operating system could become standard for the Internet of Things.

The Linux Foundation has unveiled its new real-time operating system (OS) for the Internet of Things (IoT). Uniting on a standard promoted by the Linux Foundation could advance IoT development as a whole.

Currently, Zephyr supports selected IoT hardware from Arduino, Intel and NXP.
