The new tool supports iOS as well as Android.

Google has released a new tool designed to enable mobile applications to function even when the user's device is not connected to the Internet. The Mobile Offline SDK supports both iOS and Android, and it is based on technology Google acquired with the purchase of Firebase last fall.

The SDK allows developers to prefetch and persist synchronized data on disk so that it will always be available even if the device no longer has a connection to the Internet. According to Google, mobile development firms using the SDK need to add only one line of code to their apps for disk persistence and one line of code for data synchronization.
