Codementor, a service that helps coders get advice from expert developers, has launched a new initiative designed to help more startups get up and running this year. The organization has designated 2015 as "Makers Year," and developers that sign up for the program will get discounts and free trials on a number of products and services. CodeMentor will also be helping connect developers with design and marketing professionals and hosting events where developers can ask questions of experts.
"YC and Techstars are great accelerators, but can only afford to help one percent of startups," said Weiting Liu, co-founder of Codementor. "Makers Year wants to help the rest and create a movement that will help get more projects launched this year. The bigger the funnel is, the better it is for the ecosystem."
